Shiitake Mushroom Cooking Salt

This delightful culinary salt was created to honor the mushroom growers in Rabun Co., GA and surrounding areas. We wanted to make a blend that would be universal to all food types and that is exactly what this blend embodies. Use on vegetables, meats, breads, soups, & more! We recommend cooking with this blend due to the fact that, based on research, ANY mushroom should NOT be eaten RAW…our bodies find it difficult to break the nutrients down properly if not cooked.

This blend is also inspired by the people of the Appalachian Mountains, who traditionally cooked quite frequently with sumac berry and nettles for their highly nutritious and delicious properties. Enjoy, friends!
